About the Business
In 1970 after 5 years apprenticeship and College (City & Guilds Electrical Installation Course), Eddie decided to start his own business trading as E.G Tanner Electrical. The business grew steadily over the coming years but it was in the early 80's Eddie noticed a niche in the market.
The first burglar alarm installations were in installed in some of the larger residential dwellings in Frinton's Avenues. Eddie continued his Electrical work but the call for burglar alarm installations began to grow. Numerous installations continued in Kirby, Walton, Clacton, Harwich, Colchester, Manningtree, Dedham, Chelmsford and other towns and villages in Essex and Suffolk. Thus establishing Frinton Alarm Systems as one of the first security companies in East Anglia.
Residentially and commercially intruder alarms, fire alarms systems, CCTV and door entry also started to be installed. The demand for security installations and maintenance was vastly expanding.
